CC3 - 2012 Finale!

We have just ended our second year of CC! It's really hard to believe it's been two years now and that I actually tutored this year. Its hard to comprehend all that the Lord has taught me, let alone my children.  This year our focus was on American History, so the kids learned all of their states and capitals along with  all the main features of the U.S. map. We memorized 24 U.S. history facts complete with the  Bill of Rights and Preamble to the Constitution. Our fine arts focused on the many great American artists and composers. For science this year our focus was on anatomy, chemistry and mathematical probability. The kids started off the year memorizing anatomy facts and building body with all of their innards pasted to it :)  We then memorized the first 12 elements of the periodic chart and did science experiments based on the elements. Then we learned all about probability and played some fun games together to learn chance and percentages. For Bible we memorized John 1: 1-7 in English, then we learned it in Latin. We made lots of new friends on our new Argo-Trussville campus. In Essentials, Britton wrote poems, narratives, a critiques, and his first research paper all focused on American history. Britton really grew in his writing skills this year. Mrs. Karen was an awesome teacher and Im so very thankful for her and CC. Our biggest accomplishment for this year was Britton's Memory master award!! I was so incredibly proud of my big guy for jumping in and memorizing so much information and doing so to Mastery! Out of 24 weeks and 7 subjects of materials he could only make one mistake, when being quizzed by our director, and he did it! Praise be the the Lord!!! He has done great, great things in and through all of us this year. Here are the videos of the end of the year program and awards!

What a great year! What a great community the Lord has placed us in! What great friendships we have made this year!
